Matthew Steggle is Reader in English at Sheffield Hallam University. His research encompasses early modern drama, especially Caroline drama; and digital humanities, broadly defined. His publications include _Richard Brome: Place and Politics on the Caroline Stage_ (2004) and _Laughing and Weeping in Early Modern Theatres_ (2007).
