It may be that the first to propose Richard Niccols's authorship was not Isaac Reed himself, but rather Edmond Malone, who contributed some findings to the 1782 edition of Biographia Dramatica. These contributions are noted in his own copy of the book: four interleaved volumes held at the Bodleian Library (Mal. 154–157). If any LPD contributor is able to check these volumes in person, clarification on this point would be greatly appreciated!
