William Sly spent most of his career with the Chamberlain's/King's Men. He was a member of the company when the second part of The Seven Deadly Sins was in their active repertory, and he played also in Ben Jonson's two Every Man plays. He lived in several parishes popular with other players (St. Saviour, Southwark; St. Giles, Cripplegate) including the same parish as the Burbages (St. Leonard, Shoreditch), where he was buried in 1608.
