Henry Porter, dramatist, wrote at least one play for the Admiral's men (Two Angry Women of Abingdon) in the late 1590s; he was killed in a fight (reputedly) with John Day (probably the dramatist by that name) on 7 June 1599. He collaborated with other dramatists on plays now lost, including Hot Anger Soon Cold with Ben Jonson and Henry Chettle.
