Category:Richard Alleyn
Although he carried an illustrious theatrical name Richard Alleyn was, according to Nungezer, "apparently no kinsman of Edward" (p. 13). Richard appears in the diary of Philip Henslowe as witness to a loan of £ 15 to Henslowe's nephew, Francis, on 8 May 1594 "to laye downe for his share to the Quenes players when they brocke & went into the contrey to playe" (Foakes, p. 7).
- he may/may not be the player with the Admiral's men in the 1590s till his death in 1601.
