Nicholas Tooley ... | The only surviving document about Nicholas Tooley that conveys his "voice" is his will, which is dated 3 June 1623. It does not mention a wife or children. It ''does'' mention his theatrical family: the Cuthbert Burbages, the Richard Burbages, the Henry Condells, and other players (Richard Robinson, Joseph Taylor, John Underwood, William Ecclestone). Another notable feature of the will is its pattern of debt forgiveness.
