Dr Roy Booth is a senior lecturer in the English department at Royal Holloway College, University of London. His particular teaching and research interests include the Elizabethan and Stuart witchcraft plays, texts that imagine paradise in early modern literature, and John Donne.
His doctoral thesis, 'Married and Marred: the Misogamist in English Renaissance Comedy' (London, 2003) can be accessed on Ethos, and it constitutes his major (if unpublished) work on early modern English plays.
He has published on Donne, Dekker, flight in witchcraft plays, Elizabethan poets, etc.
His main web presence is at the long-lived academic blog, 'Early Modern Whale'.
