June Schlueter is Charles A. Dana Professor Emerita of English, Lafayette College, Easton, PA. Her books include Reading Shakespeare in Performance: King Lear (1991, with James P. Lusardi), Critical Essays: The Two Gentlemen of Verona (ed., 1996), Acts of Criticism: Performance Matters in Shakespeare and His Contemporaries (2006, with Paul Nelsen), and The Album Amicorum and the London of Shakespeare's Time (2011). She has published numerous essays based on archival research on the English actors on the Continent and on alba amicorum. From 1983 to 2003, she co-edited Shakespeare Bulletin.
