At present, I am a third year doctoral student at Jesus College, Oxford.  I am interested in all aspects of early modern literature, especially in Renaissance visual culture, Shakespeare, early modern drama and performance studies. My doctoral research is funded by the AHRC and I work on the aesthetics of spectacle in the drama of Robert Greene.

I have delivered a number of papers at academic conferences, including the Society for Renaissance Studies Conference at University of York (16th-18th July 2010). I will also be delivering a paper at the Reading Conference in Early Modern Studies (18-20th July 2011).  I have recently submitted a critical essay on Robert Greene’s 'James IV' (c. 1590) for publication in the e-journal Early Modern Literary Studies and an article on Greene’s 'Orlando Furioso' (c. 1591) to The Bristol Journal of English Studies. I have also acted as a co-convener of the Early Modern Graduate Forum (2009-2010).
