Joshua Reid is Associate Professor of Early Modern Studies in English at East Tennessee State University. His publications on Early Modern Translation Studies have appeared in The Spenser Review and Handbook of English Renaissance Literature, and his work on English translations of Ariosto and Tasso have appeared in Forum for Modern Language Studies and Renaissance and Reformation. His scholarly edition, The Italian Romance Epic in English, 1590-1600, is forthcoming from the Modern Humanities Research Association in its Tudor and Stuart Translations Series. He is a General Editor of The Manchester Spenser, Manchester University Press's monograph series on the life and works of Edmund Spenser.
